GLORIOUS dreams

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The nobleman in the Gospel of John desperately wanted his son's life saved. He set out on twenty mile hike just to find Jesus. He found Jesus and was persistent. When Jesus gave him instructions he was trusting and obedient. Before he got home his FAITH was CONFIRMED and everyone in his family became WITNESSES to the power of Jesus Christ! Their FAITH JOURNEY was accelerated!  Jesus healed the nobleman's son and through FAITH this nobleman owned his son's healing before it took place. This is the nature of FAITH. Today's verse; "Now FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen." FAITH gives us possession of things before they happen. Heaven, glory, and everlasting salvation are already ours. We will receive CONFIRMATION of them on our journey home, before arrival! And, when we WITNESS it, when we get home; it will be GLORIOUS...

"THE SAME HOUR!"

John 4:53 & 54 "53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. 54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee." "THE SAME HOUR!" The nobleman figured out that the moment Jesus told him his son was healed; his son was healed! There was about twenty miles between them and the son. This proved that distance means nothing to the Son of God. Jesus can heal people far away as well as close up. This event not only convinced the nobleman who Jesus was, also "his whole house." What a HUGE event in the life of this family. This changes them forever! They all became WITNESSES to FAITH, they would go on to share their story and the Good News of Jesus! It would have been hard, it could have cost them their reputation, position, and more. Their FAITH JOURNEY is accelerated! They will feel indebted and closer to GOD more t...

THY SON LIVETH!

John 4:51 & 52 "51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. 52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him." We are studying the Gospel of John when a nobleman from Capernaum had traveled twenty miles pursuing Jesus. Hoping to get Him to heal his dying son. When he found Jesus he anxiously begged for his son to be healed. When Jesus did not respond the way the nobleman wanted he remained PERSISTENT. He admits that if Jesus doesn't help him no one will. All his FAITH is in Jesus! Recognize that this is how we all come to our LORD wanting our problem solved.  And our LORD solves the nobleman's problem; "Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; THY SON LIVETH. And the man BELIEVED the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way." This nobleman gets to speed through his FAITH JOURNEY. As soon as he finds Jesus he is he...

BLESSED ASSURANCE

John 4:49 & 50 "49 The nobleman saith unto Him, Sir, come down ere my child die. 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way." We are studying the Gospel of John when Jesus was walking the dusty streets and healing the desperately ill! A nobleman from Capernaum has traveled twenty miles or more pursuing Jesus. Hoping to find Him and get Him to heal his dying son. The tragedy of his son's illness has caused him to act in FAITH. This is the beginning of his FAITH JOURNEY. This father wants his son healed!  When he finds Jesus he anxiously begs for his son to be healed. Jesus' answer sounds harsh; "EXCEPT ye see signs and wonders, ye WILL NOT BELIEVE." We do not know who the nobleman was, he might have been someone who should not be trusted. From what we do know it looks like he has chased down Jesus ONLY to heal his dying son. Does this nobleman want to trust in Jesu...

Curious Redemption

John 4:47 & 48 "47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought Him that He would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. 48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe." We worshipped in church this past Sunday as CHILDREN OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER. We study the Gospel of John where it recorded the events when Jesus was walking the dusty streets and healing the desperately ill! He has returned to the place where He performed His first public miracle; turning water into wine.  A nobleman from Capernaum has traveled twenty miles or more pursuing Jesus. Hoping to find Him and get Him to heal his son. The tragedy of his son's illness has caused him to act in FAITH. This is the beginning of his FAITH JOURNEY. Today's verses; "When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and BESOUGHT Him that He would come down, and heal his son...

Nobel Pursuit

John 4:46 "So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where He made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum." If you worshipped in church this past Sunday, no doubt you said to GOD; “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done..." This is something we all do as CHILDREN OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER. As we study this series we see the FAMILY TREE of the CHURCH emerge and how this tree has grown strong and big. It's true nature will be experienced as the Kingdom of GOD. This is a Kingdom where water is turned into wine and the sick are healed with simple words spoken by our Lord and Savior. Today we return to the Gospel of John where it recorded the events when Jesus was walking the dusty streets and healing the desperately ill! He has returned to the place where He performed His first public miracle; "So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where He made the water wine. And there was a certain NOBLEMAN, whose son was sick at CAPERNAUM....

FAMILY TREE

Ezekiel 17:24 "24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it." We studied two parables in chapter four of the Gospel of Mark; the CAST SEED, explaining how the Gospel is spread, and the tiny MUSTARD SEED that grows into a giant tree, explaining how the Kingdom of GOD develops. Both are VERY important lessons from Jesus Christ to His followers. Yesterday we circled back to the prophecy of Ezekiel written some six HUNDRED years before Jesus' ministry recorded in the Gospels. Here we read of another GREAT tree; "under it shall dwell ALL FOWL of every wing..." This is GOD'S church with it's many branches providing a home for all kinds of people. Jesus was the "young twigs a tender one" who like a tiny MUSTARD SEED grew into a GIANT TREE that shelters and provides a d...

DWELLING PLACE

Ezekiel 17:22 & 23 "22 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: 23 In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell." We were in chapter four of the Gospel of Mark; we learned that Jesus used many parables to teach people and we fear MANY of them were NOT recorded! Two that were recorded were the CAST SEED, explaining how the Gospel is spread, and the tiny MUSTARD SEED that grows into a giant tree, explaining how the Kingdom of GOD develops. Both are VERY important lessons from Jesus Christ to His followers. Today we turn to the prophecy of Ezekiel written some six HUNDRED years before Jesus' ministry recorded in the...

Jesus EXPLAINED

Mark 4:33 & 34 "33 And with many such parables spake He the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. 34 But without a parable spake He not unto them: and when they were alone, He expounded all things to His disciples." The last two verses in chapter four of the Gospel of Mark; we learn that Jesus used many parables to teach people and we fear MANY of them were NOT recorded! And, too many were heard by people who just would not understand. And, very tantalizingly we read that last verse telling us "when they were alone" Jesus EXPLAINED His teaching to His Disciples. Wouldn't we all love to have these extra details? To get a "behind the scenes" look into teaching of our Lord and Savior.  We are left with what we have in the Holy Bible. Learning how the Gospel can be spread like CAST SEED. This technique does NOT distribute the seeds evenly and the results are left in GOD'S hands. And there will come the time of HARVEST. God will bring ALL Hi...

COMPARISON

Mark 4:30-32 "30 And He said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it." In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus has called attention to what He is about to teach. First He gave encouragement of even greater understanding and knowledge. Then opened with the parable of the CAST SEED. This technique does NOT distribute the seeds evenly. He continued the lesson saying this sower of the seeds does NOT understand how the seeds grow. The farmer knows he does NOT make the crops grow. And He rounds it out with foretelling there will come the time of HARVEST. God will bring ALL His children home. Today's verses Jesus extends His teaching saying; "A...

THE EARTH HERSELF

Mark 4:28 & 29 "28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come." Here in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus has called attention to what He is about to teach. He gives encouragement, if we will take the effort and time to learn and understand what God is teaching us we will be rewarded with even greater understanding and knowledge. His teaching using the parable of the CAST SEED. This is a farming example almost everyone in His audience would understand. "And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should CAST SEED into the ground;" CASTING SEED is simpler, faster, and easier than row sowing and drill planting. This technique does NOT distribute the seeds evenly. Jesus continues the lesson saying this sower of the seeds does NOT understand how the seeds grow. Then today's verses; "...

know NOT HOW

Mark 4:26 & 27 "26 And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how." This week we are in the Gospel of Mark, studying more of Jesus' teachings. Jesus has called attention to what He is about to teach. He gives encouragement and warning; listen to good and sound teaching, if we will take the effort and time to learn and understand what God is teaching us we will be rewarded with even greater understanding and knowledge. In today's verses His teaching really begins; "And He said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should CAST SEED into the ground;" CASTING SEED is simpler, faster, and easier than row sowing and drill planting. Casting seed is ideal for planting cover crops and grass for lawns. This technique does NOT  distribute the seeds evenly. Jesus continues the lesson saying this sower of the seeds does NOT un...

JESUS is CALLING

Mark 4:23-25 "23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath." Last week we studied the parable of the Prodigal Son. In this earthly story with a heavenly meaning we learned that like the father in the parable; God comes to His children. God doesn't wait for His children to get right. He goes to them and helps them. We are all Children of the Heavenly Father and He is EXTRAVAGANTLY GENEROUS with all of us. This week we will study more of Jesus' teaching. This time from the Gospel of Mark, chapter four starting in verse twenty-three, where Jesus is calling attention to what He is about to teach. "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear." He is focusing His teaching to only the people with ears! 😉...

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

John 13:34 & 35 "34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another." We were studying the parable of The Prodigal Son in the Gospel of Luke. We saw that there are THREE PRODIGALS! The two sons were WASTEFULLY EXTRAVAGANT. They were BOTH motivated by greed, pride and selfishness. They expressed it differently. The father in the parable is like GOD; He comes to His children. God doesn't wait for His children to get right. He goes to them and helps them. Comes to you where you are. We are Children of the Heavenly Father and He is EXTRAVAGANTLY GENEROUS with ALL of us. Even the PRODIGALS. Today we turn to the Gospel of John were our Lord and Savior very plainly speaks His new commandment;  "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye LOVE ONE ANOTHER;  as I have LOVED you,  that ye also LOVE ONE ANOTHER. By this shall...

WASTEFULLY GENEROUS!?!

Luke 15:29-32 "29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found." We are studying the Gospel of Luke, chapter fifteen where there are THREE PRODIGALS! Look at the definition of "Prodigal;" spending money or resources freely and recklessly; WASTEFULLY EXTRAVAGANT. JESUS tells this parable about the TWO Sons. The younger son was DISRESPECTFUL and WASTED his inheritance. When he returned to his father's house, his father RUNS out to greet him and WELCOMS him BACK!!! All th...

CELEBRATE for THY BROTHER

Luke 15:25-28 "25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him." Today we are introduced to the third PRODIGAL; the elder son, coming in from working in the field and asking one of servants what's all the CELEBRATING for? "And he said unto him, THY BROTHER IS COME; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him SAFE and SOUND."  This is great news for everyone. Everyone except the elder son. "And he was ANGRY, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him." The father comes out to talk to him. Like God comes to his children. God doesn't wait fo...

EXTRAVAGANT GRACE!

Luke 15:21-24 "21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry." We are studying ALL THREE PRODIGALS in the Gospel of Luke, chapter fifteen. Look at the definition of "Prodigal;" spending money or resources freely and recklessly; WASTEFULLY EXTRAVAGANT. Does this apply to more people than the younger son? JESUS tells this parable about the TWO Sons. The younger son was disrespectful wanting his inheritance NOW. When he gets his money and FREEDOM he goes WILD! He blew ALL his money on riotous living and all kinds of debauchery. Then times got TOUGH for him. He hit rock bot...

WELCOME BACK!!!

Luke 15:18-20 "18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him." We are studying "The Prodigals" in the Gospel of Luke, chapter fifteen. We will look at ALL THREE PRODIGALS! We want to see how they live up to the definition of "Prodigal;" spending money or resources freely and recklessly; WASTEFULLY EXTRAVAGANT. JESUS tells the parable about the TWO Sons. The younger son was disrespectful wanting his inheritance NOW. Very self centered and selfish. When he gets his money and FREEDOM he goes WILD! He partied like a rockstar! He blew ALL his money on riotous living and all kinds of debauchery. Then things got tough, he has to take a low paying job ...

LOWEST of LOWS

Luke 15:14-17 "14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!" We continue our study of young people in the Holy Bible called "Children of The Heavenly Father." This parable, or earthly story with a heavenly meaning, we will see a couple sons misusing their FREEDOM! The title for this week's study is "The Prodigals." We will look at ALL THREE PRODIGALS! We want to see how they live up to the definition of "Prodigal;" spending money or resources freely and recklessly; WASTEFULLY EXTRAVAGANT. It started in the Gospel of Luke, chapter fift...

FREEDOM gone WILD!

Luke 15:11-13 "11 And He said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living." Last week we studied Freedom! We looked at the twelve brothers who's families became the twelve tribes of Israel. We saw how they misused their FREEDOMS and did some very bad things and still GOD used THEIR EVIL to accomplish GOOD!  This week we continue our study of young people in the Holy Bible called "Children of The Heavenly Father." This week we dive into the New Testament where Jesus shared the parable of the Prodigal Son. In this earthly story with a heavenly meaning we will see a couple more sons misusing their FREEDOM! The title for this week's study is "The Prodigals." We will look at...

MEANT GOOD

Genesis 50:19-21 "19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them." "GOD MEANT it unto GOOD" God made something good and beautiful out of the mess that these people made. We studied the wild events in chapter thirty-seven. Here in chapter fifty we read what Joseph said to his brothers when he is saving his entire family! It was incredible!!! We are all "Children of The Heavenly Father." We are not individuals, we are in RELATIONSHIPS. It is NOT all about ME. It is all about US. It is better to be smart than right. Use wisdom, always find the way to honor God. We might be FREE to do something… but we may not want to exercise our FREEDOM. We are also FREE to NOT cause more wounds....

FREEDOM to honor GOD.

Genesis 37:35 & 36 "35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. 36 And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard." This is a wild and beastly series of events in Genesis, chapter thirty-seven. It shows us just how wrong one family can go. They are doing what they want. Even when it's WRONG. They are exercising their freedom of speech and freedom to act, their inalienable rights. BUT, they are doing so with very SELFISH motives. Each of the people in this event thought what was happening was about THEM. When it was actually about their RELATIONSHIP to each other.  AND GOD took their horrible actions made them miraculous! Joseph went from slavery to jail. Spent years there seemingly forgotten. Until the Pharaoh of Egypt needed his dreams interpreted. Then Jos...

ABOUT US

Genesis 37:31-34 "31 And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood; 32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no. 33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces. 34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days." We are studying in Genesis, chapter thirty-seven, all the people are misusing their FREEDOM. Israel (Jacob) is favoring Joseph over all his sons. Joseph was FLAUNTING his father's favoritism and adding fule to the fire with telling them his dreams or ruling over them. And, the brothers for letting all this build into an intense HATRED of Joseph. Jealousy, greed, envy, pride and anger are all coming together in a toxic combination in Joseph's brothers. When the opportunity...

THREW AWAY

Genesis 37:13, 18, 23 & 24, & 29 "13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I." "18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him." "23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it." "29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes." A lot goes on here in Genesis, chapter thirty-seven, when Joseph is tormenting his older brothers. Their father Israel favored Joseph in many ways. All of these people are "Children of The Heavenly Father." Created with inalienable rights and they are exercising their freedom of speech and freedo...

Favorite Star

Genesis 37:9-11 "9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth? 11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying." This week we in in Genesis, chapter thirty-seven, when Joseph is tormenting his older brothers. Their father Israel favored Joseph in many ways. The most obvious was the Coat of Many Colors. Especially made for Joseph. When he wore it; he was FLAUNTING his father's favoritism. This intensified the brother's HATE. And, their HATE did not slow down or deter Joseph... In yesterday's verses Joseph aggravated them with his dream of wheat sheaves; "And they HATED...

HATED MORE!

Genesis 37:4-8 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: 7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words." This week we will study the twelve brothers who's families became the twelve tribes of Israel. When these brothers were young men, "Children of The Heavenly Father." We are reading in Genesis, chapter thirty-seven, Jacob, a.k.a. Israel, was the son of Isaac and the grandson of Abraham. All these gener...

Coat of Many Colors

Genesis 37:1-3 "1 And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. 2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours." Last week we studied "Healing and Hope" focused on the event when Jesus brought Jiarus' daughter back to LIFE! This week we will study Freedom! Titled; "Free from and Free for…" we will look into the twelve brothers who's families became the twelve tribes of Israel. When these brothers were young men, "Children of The Heavenly Father." It is noteworthy that we read mention of so many of the great people in Holy Scriptures when they are YOUNG. All t...

VICTORY!

1 Corinthians 15:57 & 58 "57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." Jesus said "ARISE." "And straightway the damsel AROSE!" God makes all the ASTONISHING things happen. God does it all. Always has, always will. This young lady got to live her life and everyone knew she was DEAD and brought back to life. She became a living breathing, walking and talking proof that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God! And, all her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends were all witnesses too. Just think where their attention was when Jesus was arrested, put on trial, crucified, buried and AROSE from the tomb! This is the MOST ASTONISHING thing that ever happened! And, it was all God's doing! Come and be ASTONISHED with us at one of the oldes...

ASTONISHING

Mark 5:42 & 43 "42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. 43 And He charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat." "I say unto thee, ARISE." Jesus said "And straightway the damsel AROSE, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were ASTONISHED with a great ASTONISHMENT." The DEAD come back to life! You bet they were shocked, surprised and amazed! This is something no one ever sees. God makes all the ASTONISHING things happen. God does it all. Always has, always will. And, He expected the impossible; "And He charged them straitly that NO MAN should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat." Feeding the young lady would come naturally but keeping it a secret that she is BACK to LIFE; that can't be done. The young lady will get to live her l...

ARISE!

Mark 5:40 & 41 "40 And they laughed Him to scorn. But when He had put them all out, He taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with Him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. 41 And He took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise." "Be not afraid, ONLY BELIEVE." Jesus said to Jiarus. Jiarus found Jesus hoping He would heal his sick daughter. Only she died before Jesus could get to her. Jiarus was willing to risk his reputation and his livelihood to save her life.  Jiarus brought Jesus and three of the Disciples to his home. All the people living here are deeply tied to the synagogue where Jiarus is a leader. This would be like a prominent Democrat bringing Donald Trump to their home; it's creating a very volatile situation! They are not welcoming to Jesus and they are racked with grief. The brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are al...

Why Cry?

Mark 5:37-39 "37 And He suffered no man to follow Him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. 38 And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. 39 And when He was come in, He saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth." "Be not afraid, ONLY BELIEVE." Jesus said to Jiarus. Does Jiarus understand? Probably not. I would love to think that the Holy Ghost is filling Jiarus' heart and mind with FAITH. He did demonstrated FAITH by seeking out Jesus. He KNEW Jesus would be able to HEAL his daughter. But that chance is GONE. She is dead now. She was his everything. He was willing to risk his reputation and his livelihood to save her life. He through himself on the ground at Jesus' feet in hopes of saving her and now she is GONE. Daddy has failed to get help for his beloved little daughter. Jiarus has brought Jesus and three of the Disciple...
