Luke 15:25-28
"25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him."
Today we are introduced to the third PRODIGAL; the elder son, coming in from working in the field and asking one of servants what's all the CELEBRATING for? "And he said unto him, THY BROTHER IS COME; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him SAFE and SOUND."
This is great news for everyone. Everyone except the elder son. "And he was ANGRY, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him." The father comes out to talk to him. Like God comes to his children. God doesn't wait for his children to get right. He goes to them and helps them. Comes to you where you are. We are Children of the Heavenly Father and he is EXTRAVAGANTLY GENEROUS with all of us.
