GOD'S church

Acts 2:46&47
"46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."

On Pentecost we see the baptism of the Disciples by the Holy Ghost! The storm like wind filled the room. Flames of fire appeared over their heads. They were given a supernatural gift of speaking in foreign languages! Immediately they are sharing the Gospel with people who knew those foreign languages! 

We see a difference in the Disciples. They are following the guidance of the Holy Ghost. They preach better sermons. They performed miracles. They spread the Gospel and got the Christian church started! 

In today's verses we read Luke's report on the success the Disciples had! "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And THE LORD added to the church daily such as should be saved."

GOD is in control. GOD will grow His church in the way and in the time He wants. We can devote ourselves to understanding the Holy Scriptures, supporting and helping fellow Christians, breaking bread with non-Christians, always praising GOD. And, though the work and guidance of the Holy Ghost GOD will use you and me as He sees fit for the advancement of His plan.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
