Mark 14:35&36
"35 And He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.
36 And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto Thee; take away this cup from Me: nevertheless not what I will, but what Thou wilt."
"tarry ye here, and WATCH." Jesus said to Peter, James and John, His inner circle. This is the night in which He was betrayed. The anticipation of the great suffering He will face is weighing heavily on Him. Jesus wants nothing more than a little human sympathy. This is almost the only personal request He is ever recorded as having made.
"And He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto Thee; take away this cup from Me: nevertheless not what I will, but what Thou wilt." Jesus knows GOD'S plan, and He is stressed out over it. Jesus is asking for there to be another way. A moment where His human side is showing through.
