Mark 5:12&13
"12 And all the devils besought Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea."

Jesus asked the demon inside the man "What is thy name?" Names are not just labels, but rather a reflection of a person’s character, nature, and relationship with God. Names say who we are. The demons in the man were named "Legion." There was an army of evil spirits possessing this man. AND, those demons are groveling at the feet of our Lord and Savior, begging for mercy.

In today's verses we read the demon's proposal to Jesus. "And all the devils besought Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea."

Our culture is possessed by "demonic" forces. We have babies being murdered before they are born. We have human trafficking flowing across our Southern border and around the world. We have wicked people targeting children with degenerate lessons and plans. We have abandoned what is right and good. We need revival in the hearts and minds of people today. We need reformation for our schools and institutions. We need to cast out these demons. Send them to the depths of the sea!

Elisha’s example

I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
