Colossians 1:17
"And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."

Prophet Micaiah knew and loved God. The Holy Ghost gave him the strength to stand up to 400 other prophets and the king. This week we are studying GOD'S LOVE. Found on every page of the Holy Bible. All the Old Testament prophets, promises and events point to Jesus. Why Jesus? Why is THIS God's Grand Plan?

Yesterday we read that "ALL THINGS" were created by Jesus for Jesus. There is nothing NOT included in "ALL THINGS." Today's verse confirms Jesus's pre-existence to all things. He was not made. He is part of the Holy Trinity and was a participant in the creation of everything. AND! Not only is He the Creator, He is also the Supporter of all things. "...by Him all things consist." Consist means "To be made up or composed. To have a basis; reside or lie. To be compatible; accord." Which puts the question of "What is your relationship to Jesus?" All the more important and applicable to literally ALL THINGS!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
