Matthew 1:21
"And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins."

WHAT A RELIEF!
GOD reaches out to Joseph in a divine communication; a dream! Revealing to him that Mary's pregnancy is indeed miraculous. The child she carries in her womb is of divine origin! What blessed news this was to Joseph. He had come to the only conclusion any wise man could in his circumstances. But, all his fears were unfounded. 

This news and these events are EVEN BETTER than anyone could hope or dream!!! Today's verse; "And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall SAVE His people from their sins." Joseph's concerns go from his relationship with Mary to now he will be taking care of the Messiah!!! It is the will of God that the baby was named Jesus. In Hebrew it's "Joshua," or "Jeshua," in Greek it's "Jesus" and it means “Jehovah is salvation.” This baby was born to die for the sins of the world! Many have and do mistake Jesus's mission is to save them from their enemies, but it's not, He saves us from our sins; the guilt of them, and the power of them, and from the eternal danger of them. And, for everyone who will call Jesus their Lord and Savior can truly say "WHAT A RELIEF!"

Matthew 6:11 "Give us this day our daily bread." Last week we focused our studies on “Thy Will Be Done...” We can TRUST in the LORD with ALL our hearts. Let GOD lead us in our daily lives. GOD'S will is for you and me to follow His plan. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Serve Him by helping your friends and neighbors. It's a beautiful way. The rest of this petition is “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” We want God’s kingdom to be established on earth, reflecting the harmony and perfection found in heaven. We can have this in the here and now by prioritizing God’s will, seeking His guidance, and striving to live according to Biblical principles. However, we must keep in mind that we live in a fallen world. Too many will not join in our journey with Jesus. This tension and stress will cause everyone difficulties.
