All Are Prophets

Numbers 11:26-30
26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
27 And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put His spirit upon them!
30 And Moses gat him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

God solves the problem!
And, even His believers don't believe it!
Yet, people want to help GOD by doing their own thing! Eldad and Medad prophesying in the camp seemed to Joshua to be acting independently, and so establishing a separate center of authority. But, they have NO authority not given to them by GOD. 

In today's verses; "And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that ALL the LORD'S people were PROPHETS, and that the LORD would put His spirit upon THEM!" We might ALL aspire to be prophets but very few of us receive the Holy Ghost's anointing. The blessing Moses and his 70 are receiving is amazing! It's unprecedented!

But you and I have to appreciate that we have the full revelations from the Holy Scriptures. And! Your and my manna comes from the jobs we hold, and the paycheck we receive, to go to the restaurants and grocery stores to supply ourselves with the nourishment for our bodies. We too wander through our own desert wilderness and are provided by the blessings of our Lord and Savior every step of the way!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
