Luke 11:9 & 10
"9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
As we study the cross and it's effect on our lives and FAITH, we have seen that GOD has provided us with everything. God permits us to "do all things..." He allows us to put our shoes on the wrong feet! He let's us learn from our mistakes. And, when we don't learn GOD sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die on the cross for you and me! Jesus Christ strengthens you for eternal life in heaven and He gives you strength for today and all the challenges you will face in this life. We have to learn to call on Jesus for help!
For today's verses we turn to the Gospel of Luke, chapter eleven, verse nine and ten. Jesus is in the middle of teaching with parables and He has this straight talk lesson for everyone; "And I say unto you, ASK, and it shall be given you; SEEK, and ye shall find; KNOCK, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh RECEIVETH; and he that seeketh FINDETH; and to him that knocketh it shall be OPENED." How much of our lives do we neglect to take to God in prayer? Why don't we pray more? God is infinitely more kind and ready to do good for us than we are for each other. God has asked us to be persistence, even to the point of being annoying! If God doesn't answer our prayers right away we are to continue to pray and exercise faith in His power, love, and faithfulness. While these instances stick with us we need to also think about all the times we did NOT ask and still GOD provided and we received!!!
Amen.
