Psalms 39:1
"I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me."
AMEN.
This is the challenge; hold our tongue when in the presence of the wicked! To keep from sinning with our words and our communication. Instead we want to honor God with our words. Defend our neighbors and put their actions in the best possible light. Seemingly simple things like this will make a world of difference everyday and always.
We need to focus on building others up. Seek ways to offer encouragement, give inspiration, uplift peoples spirits, express contentment, share gladness, display happiness, have empathy, aid when we can, offer assistance to those in need, help others. Do our level best to be sure that it is BLESSING that springs forth from our tongue!!!
Our words become representative of the Gospel. The Gospel gives us great responsibility to teach God's word. Our communication, all of it, not just the times we are specifically talking about the Holy Scriptures becomes our witness to everyone listening. It's a challenge we need to rise to with the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Amen.
