the most severe test

Genesis 22:1 & 2
"1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."

This week we continue our series titled Children of the Heavenly Father. The last couple of weeks our focus was on our LORD and SAVIOR, the ONLY begotten Son of God! This week we will go back to Genesis to study an event that took place approximately four thousand years ago! 

God is asking Abraham to sacrifice his son. This is crazy. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Sacrificing your son; who does that? ...✝️

At this time in Abraham's life he is growing old and he has experienced a lot. He is living a peaceful life tending to his flock in the open pasture. His elder son Ishmael was grown up and prosperous. His younger son, Isaac, is growing up. It's at this time of abundance and tranquility that the most severe test is given to Abraham...
