Mark 6:56
"And whithersoever He entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought Him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched Him were made whole."
Amazing events!
This verse highlights the desperation and faith of the people, who laid the sick in marketplaces and begged to touch even the fringe of His garment. All who touched Him were healed, demonstrating that their faith was not in the cloth itself but in the divine power of Jesus, who is portrayed as the accessible source of physical and spiritual restoration.

Mark Chapter 5 focuses on Jesus’ sovereign power over evil, illness, and death through three interconnected miracles. In the region of the Gerasenes, Jesus casts a legion of demons out of a man and into a herd of pigs, which then drown; the healed man is told to proclaim Jesus' mercy, but the fearful townspeople ask Jesus to leave. Intertwined with this event, a woman suffering from chronic bleeding is instantly healed by touching Jesus’ cloak, prompting Jesus to publicly affirm her faith. Simultaneously, Jesus raises Jairus’ twelve-year-old daughter from the dead, demonstrating that faith overcomes fear and death.
Mark Chapter 6 shifts to Jesus’ rejection in His hometown, the commissioning of the Twelve, the beheading of John the Baptist, and two major miracles. Upon returning to Nazareth, Jesus is met with unbelief, which limits His miraculous works there, leading Him to send the Twelve out two by two with authority over unclean spirits. The narrative then details the execution of John the Baptist by Herod Antipas due to political intrigue and a foolish oath. Following this, Jesus feeds five thousand men with only five loaves and two fish, and later walks on water to calm a storm, revealing His divine authority over nature while the disciples struggle with their lack of understanding.
