Ephesians 1:4&5
"4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"
There was never a “Plan B.”
Christ’s coming—His cross and resurrection—was the eternal Plan A, decided before the first star was lit.
Yesterday (1 Peter 1) we saw that Jesus was foreordained as Savior before creation began.
Today (Ephesians 1) Paul echoes the same truth: God chose us in Christ before the world existed—not because we were good, but because of His sheer grace and delight.
He predestined us for adoption—to be His own sons and daughters—through Jesus Christ, simply because it pleased Him to do it.
Everything—every promise, every mercy, every moment of history—revolves around one Person: Jesus.
His death. His resurrection. His glory.
It’s literally all about Him—from eternity past to eternity future.
