Revelation 7:10
"And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb."
This week we go to the END. The last book in Holy Scriptures. The End is just the beginning!!! The Book of Revelation, written by the Apostle John, in 95 AD while he was exiled to the island of Patmos.
The title of the book, Revelation, comes from the Greek word for apocalypse and refers to an unveiling or a disclosure of something as yet unknown. Throughout time the faithful have turned to Revelation to get to know the events of the future!
In these verses, John sees a multitude standing before the Lamb. The slain lamb. This "Lamb" is also the Lion of Judah. The Lord of Lords. He conquered death and SIN. It's the great multitude that praises GOD "with a loud voice!" They are standing before the throne and waving palm branches, which is a gesture of celebration and victory. The praise is a response to the salvation offered by God and the Lamb.
The multitude's celebration is a contrast to the suffering and destruction described in the preceding chapters. Here we get a glimpse of the ultimate triumph and joy that awaits us for remaining faithful to GOD.
