Romans 12:3&4
"3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:"
Paul lays down high expectations for Christians. Christians should not let the world's values shape our thoughts and actions. Resist the world's influences like idolatry, fleshly lusts, and rebellion. Instead, we should align our minds with God's truth, enabling us to live according to His perfect will. We need to read scripture daily, pray all the time, and reflect on biblical teachings. We need our thoughts and actions to align with God's will. In today's verses, Paul warns us not to think more highly of ourselves than we should. We need to use sober judgment based on the measure of faith that God has given us.
Paul continues to explain that just as a human body has many parts with different functions, the church is made up of many members with different roles and gifts, all of which are essential for the body to function properly.
Each believer is to use their gifts according to the grace given to them, in proportion to their faith, to serve the body of Christ and glorify God.
