Isaiah 43:1
"But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

The Gospel of John and all of Holy Scriptures was written for YOU! As we read in last week's study, Jesus personally made sure Thomas experienced what he need to have FAITH! Thomas exclaimed to Jesus, "My LORD and my GOD." A spontaneous and deeply felt profession of FAITH. We all have to work through doubt to arrive at faith. John has done all he can to reach you and me. He clearly explains it all for us. It's up to us to receive the gift of faith from the Holy Ghost and "have life through His name."

Today we return to the Old Testament prophet Isaiah to remind us that this is the eternal character of God. He reached out to them and He is reaching out to us. Believers in Jesus Christ are the NEW Israel! "O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

Matthew 6:11 "Give us this day our daily bread." Last week we focused our studies on “Thy Will Be Done...” We can TRUST in the LORD with ALL our hearts. Let GOD lead us in our daily lives. GOD'S will is for you and me to follow His plan. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Serve Him by helping your friends and neighbors. It's a beautiful way. The rest of this petition is “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” We want God’s kingdom to be established on earth, reflecting the harmony and perfection found in heaven. We can have this in the here and now by prioritizing God’s will, seeking His guidance, and striving to live according to Biblical principles. However, we must keep in mind that we live in a fallen world. Too many will not join in our journey with Jesus. This tension and stress will cause everyone difficulties.
