Psalms 100:1&2
"1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing."

We are called to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Jesus also tells us "to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:" As Christians, we have a high bar set for our standards and behavior. At times, we will even feel overwhelmed by what is required of us.

AND THEN, we read today's verses. GOD commands us to sing! God doesn't want us burdened with heavy requirements. God wants us "joyful," "glad," and bursting forth in SONG! We are to worship Him and fill our lives with songs! It's a beautiful way to live. We get a glimpse of it in today's devotional written by Dawn. She shares some musical highlights from her life. Luke 1:51-53 "51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away." This is Mary's Magnificat. Beginning with verse forty-six Mary's responds to Elizabeth’s blessing is EPIC! In this poem Mary praises GOD for His blessing to her and His faithfulness to Israel.  Mary's Magnificat also highlights a series of reversals in which the proud are humbled and the humble are exalted!
