don't stop

1 Thessalonians 5:17&18
"17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
Pray.
And, pray some more.
However much you pray, it's not enough. Unless you are praying "without ceasing." Meaning that you never stop praying. It's a tall order and a request that seems EXCESSIVE to our modern minds. But, it is what GOD wants.

GOD built us for community. God is with us and actively at work in our lives, especially in difficult times. GOD intended people to help each other. We need each other and need our community. Our church and community needs to be bathed in prayers.

Luke 1:51-53 "51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away." This is Mary's Magnificat. Beginning with verse forty-six Mary's responds to Elizabeth’s blessing is EPIC! In this poem Mary praises GOD for His blessing to her and His faithfulness to Israel.  Mary's Magnificat also highlights a series of reversals in which the proud are humbled and the humble are exalted! Which we read in today's verses; "He hath shewed STRENGTH with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
