everyone has a part

Acts 2:11&12
"11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?"

What does this mean???
The Disciples speaking languages they did not know is miraculous! But, that is not ALL that is happening here. The pilgrims visiting Jerusalem during the festivals hear the GOOD NEWS of Jesus's resurrection. Then they hear the Holy Ghost inspired sermon preached by Peter. The pilgrims are inspired by the Holy Ghost to become Christians, and they are Baptized!

After that, they will return to their homes. Taking their new FAITH with them. They will share the Good News all along the way! So, every slave that helped build the Roman roads helped fulfill God's plan. Every teacher who taught the Greek language, enabling people across cultures to communicate, helped fulfill God's plan. Every merchant who helped facilitate the pilgrim's trip helped fulfill God's plan. Everyone has a part to fulfill God's plan! The Christian church was jump started by these events!

Luke 1:51-53 "51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away." This is Mary's Magnificat. Beginning with verse forty-six Mary's responds to Elizabeth’s blessing is EPIC! In this poem Mary praises GOD for His blessing to her and His faithfulness to Israel.  Mary's Magnificat also highlights a series of reversals in which the proud are humbled and the humble are exalted!
