UNITY

Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them."

Hold on to this verse. Cherish these words from Jesus. God’s presence is NOT dependent on the number of people gathered, but rather about the power of agreement and UNITY among believers. This gathering is the church’s corporate life, where believers come together to worship, pray, and seek God’s will.

Jesus’ promise is an assurance that when believers come together in unity, seeking God’s will and guidance, their prayers will be answered. This is not a guarantee of automatic answers to every prayer, but rather an encouragement to seek God’s will together, trusting that He will respond to their collective prayers.

Our agreement and UNITY, first and foremost, has to be with Jesus. We want to receive the words He spoke, which were given to Him by the Father. In this way, we have a direct connection to God. Through this Advent of Jesus, the birth of Jesus, we experience the Father, and through faith in Jesus, we can have a direct relationship with God. This Christmas season and all year we need to celebrate and glorify our Lord and Savior! Who will come again!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
