Luke 4:10&11
"10 For it is written, He shall give His angels charge over Thee, to keep Thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear Thee up, lest at any time Thou dash Thy foot against a stone."

Jesus has rebuked two of Satan’s temptations with verses from Holy Scriptures. So, Satan’s third temptation is to twist Holy Scripture to trick Jesus. 
Satan is trying to tempt Jesus to act impulsively, ignoring God’s will and timing. All of Satan’s works are tricks and fakery. He can only steal, kill and destroy. In his work he is prolific and cunning. 

Satan doesn't give up easily. He doesn't need to deliver on his false promises. He just needs you to give in to temptation. We need to be prepared for Satan to attack our weaknesses. Use the Holy Scriptures to strengthen yourself. Don't keep temptation around. Get rid of it. Use the scriptures to wipe out temptation. Jesus shared His account of this interaction with Satan to inform and educate His followers! We get to learn from this too!

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. We also want to remember our own Covenant with GOD and how the waters of Baptism washed us clean and gives us the promise of eternal life. This week we will study another Covenant from GOD; The Covenant of Holy Communion. Instituted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
