John 6:37
"All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out."
We petition God with "Give us this day our daily bread." It's not because God would forget to feed us. It's to remind our hearts and minds that God is the source of everything we receive. God keeps us in His heart and mind. It was God who sent His Son to teach us about the bread of life. And, as remarkable as it seems, some who witnessed signs and wonders performed by Jesus, did NOT believe!?!?
In today's verse we get a peek into that mystery. "All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." No one is compelled to go to heaven against their will, that would NOT be heaven. No one is compelled to go to hell against their will, they choose to be away from God. The Holy Ghost inclines the will of one, and they seek God freely as a moral agent. Others choose the way of sin and death. God constantly provides opportunities for them to be saved. Yet, they prefer the path that leads down to hell. Jesus will not reject or refuse any sinner who comes to Him. It's incredible!
