Luke 11:2
"2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
We are studying prayer. Specifically, the Lord's Prayer. Last week we read from the Gospel of Matthew where Jesus is teaching His disciples The Lord's Prayer. This prayer is the ultimate guide to how to pray. God is the source of everything we have and enjoy. We have so much to be grateful for from GOD. All Praise and All Glory to our Lord and Savior!
This week we will study The First Petition, Hallowed be Thy name. A plea for God’s name to be revered and honored. (Something our world NEEDS today.)
The Lord’s Prayer consists of six petitions, which can be categorized into two groups: three “Thy-petitions” (directed towards God’s glory) and three “us-petitions” (directed towards our good). We will be studying each one. Join me in this daily devotional journey.
