Mark 10:18
"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."
We are studying The First Petition of the Lord's Prayer, "Hallowed be Thy name." We are in the Gospel of Mark. Jesus is teaching, and a young man runs up to Jesus to ask Him the question, "Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
It seems almost spontaneous. It's like the idea crossed his mind and he blurted it out. It's like he is asking "What about ME?" In today's verse Jesus responds with a question. It's a way to get the young man thinking. If he had been following Jesus, maybe he would have known that Jesus is GOD!?!?
