John 2:8&9
"8 And He saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,"
The moment of truth... There is BAD wine. There is GREAT wine. And, there is everything in between. Ultimately, the proof is in the tasting. Will this wine that was water minutes ago be received as tasting good? What did "the servants which drew the water" think? Were they nervous that the "governor of the feast" would taste the difference? Might they be in trouble for passing off this fake "wine?" Play the game show music as he tastes the "wine." The servants were just doing what Jesus told them. Following the orders of Mary, Jesus's mother. And they did a lot. We're talking about the equivalent of 800 bottles of wine! This was a BIG PARTY! The reputation of the hosting family is on the line. And, they are all about to find out who Jesus is...
