John 20:16&17
"16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto Him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God."

"Who are you looking for?" Jesus asked Mary. A question we all need to answer. He is lingering here at the tomb trying to comfort the broken heart of someone He cares about. He did not have to do that. He could be off making appearances with the Apostles and others. He is gently guiding her. He wanted her to think, to remember His teachings on this subject. This is our GOD.

In today's verses she recognized Jesus! She sees that He has returned from death! He is triumphant over death and sin! His presence here in front of Mary is irrefutable proof that He is the Son of God! And! Next, Jesus asked her to "...go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God."

Mary is Jesus's first eyewitness to His resurrection! She is assigned the task of telling the Disciples! This is HUGE! GOD is in control of this whole situation and this is how He wanted things to happen. Our GOD is more patient and more care-filled than we give Him credit for!

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. We also want to remember our own Covenant with GOD and how the waters of Baptism washed us clean and gives us the promise of eternal life. This week we will study another Covenant from GOD; The Covenant of Holy Communion. Instituted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
