Mark 8:23
"And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw ought."
We are studying the questions that Jesus asked. We are in the Gospel of Mark. Jesus and His Disciples arrived in Bethsaida. It's a small fishing village located on the northeastern shore of the Sea of Galilee. This was the hometown of three of Jesus’ disciples: Peter, Andrew, and Philip. As they are arriving here, people bring forward a blind man pleading with Jesus to heal him.
"And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw ought." The people who brought the blind man believed Jesus would heal his sight. The Disciples believed Jesus would heal his sight. When Jesus gets His hands on the blind man, the healing begins. Jesus asks him "Do you see anything?" Jesus is easing the man into sight. A little bit at a time. Jesus opens eyes.
