what does it mean???

Revelation 20:1&2
"1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,"

To learn about the high stakes of believing in the one true God, we have turned to the Book of Revelation. A book we can get bogged down in all these details. What does "a thousand years" mean? What about Gog and Magog? We can make up the meaning, but we don't really know. Only GOD really knows. The important things we can know is that Satan wants to defeat God and the godly. It's the ultimate battle. Who wins? Satan is defeated. In the final showdown, Jesus WINS!

Between now and then we need to wear the "whole armour of God, that ye may be able to WITHSTAND in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND." Oppose Satan's schemes, resist his temptations and give battle against his power and evil ways. In our day in which sin and iniquity abound, error and heresy prevail, Satan is very busy, trials and afflictions come to us all.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
