John 20:12&13
"12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid Him."
This week we stay at Jesus's empty tomb with Mary Magdalene. She is "weeping." Her world has been turned upside down. Watching Jesus die. Helping bury His body. Her mind is clouded in the darkness of loss. She couldn't imagine any relief. Death is permanent.
She sees the two angels and talks with them. She has no way of knowing what has transpired. Other than Jesus having told His followers what would happen. But, they didn't understand. How could they? This event is unparalleled in all history.
