testify

John 20:18
"Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things unto her."

And they didn't believe her!
Her friends, who were like family, didn't believe what she said she had experienced. It had to be frustrating for her. She wanted to continue to serve Jesus, even after His death. Going to His tomb before sunrise. There she talked to 2 angels. Then Jesus approached her. She did not recognize Him, at first. She was there at a very critical moment. Jesus was about to "ascend unto My Father, and your Father." 

We should not be surprised when we testify to friends and family about Jesus, and they don't believe us. What will be your response when you are in a difficult situation like this? We can stick by our Lord and Savior no matter what others believe or say. You have been given faith in the Lord. It's a big deal! Jesus changed the world! He can change you too! He can change your family and friends, too! Nothing compares to Jesus! Apply Him to life.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
