Acts 9:19&20
"19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God."
In the first couple of verses of this record, Saul is THREATENING to SLAUGHTER Christians! Then our Lord and Savior confronts him, and he is suddenly reduced to shaking and quivering in a state of amazement! He was blinded and left waiting for 3 days without eating or drinking. While Saul was meditating on his life, God was giving instructions to Ananias to visit and heal Saul. Saul's sight is returned to him, he is filled with the Holy Ghost, and he is baptized.
Then we have today's verses, "And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days WITH THE DISCIPLES which were at Damascus. And STRAIGHTWAY he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God." This is the most dramatic conversion in all of history! From prosecutor to preacher. And, not just any preacher! Paul’s importance in the New Testament lies in his role as a writer, missionary, evangelist, and theologian. His writings and teachings have had a PROFOUND IMPACT on the development of Christian theology and doctrine, and his legacy continues to shape Christian thought and practice to this day.
