first truth

Luke 24:9&10
"9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles."

@Jesus's tomb on Easter morning. These women met two angels in SHINING GARMENTS. The angels told the ladies what was happening! They reminded the women of conversations Jesus had with them. These broken-hearted women recalled Jesus's teaching! Possibly, they never truly understood until now! This experience and inspiration from the Holy Ghost has them knowing about the Resurrection! Knowing in a way that they will never forget.

In today's verses they reported their experiences to the Apostles. They have experienced gut-wrenching grief as they look on as their teacher and friend DIED hanging on the cross. It had to be a terrifying sight. They helped take Jesus's lifeless body and bury Him. And, they went on Sunday morning to put spices on Jesus's dead body. Only His body was gone. They are the first people to learn the resurrection TRUTH.

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. We also want to remember our own Covenant with GOD and how the waters of Baptism washed us clean and gives us the promise of eternal life. This week we will study another Covenant from GOD; The Covenant of Holy Communion. Instituted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
