Colossians 1:16
"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:"
Last week we studied the prophet Micaiah and how he spoke truth to power. He is an example to us, showing courage when faced with extreme political and peer pressure. We can all aspire to stay faithful to our Lord and Savior when faced with opposition to what is truly good and holy.
This week we will study GOD'S LOVE. We can read about it in every page of the Holy Bible. Martin Luther, the founder of the protestant reformation, said that the Holy Bible is a cradle for the baby Jesus. All the Old Testament prophets, promises and events point to Jesus. Why Jesus? Why is THIS God's Grand Plan?
In today's verses we read that "ALL THINGS" were created by Jesus for Jesus. When Paul wrote to the Colossians saying "ALL THINGS," he didn't say "ALL THINGS" except... And, he didn't say "ALL THINGS" but... He meant literally everything. And, not just what he had experienced, but the past, the present and the future. There is nothing NOT included in "ALL THINGS"
