Joshua 1:7
"7 Only be thou STRONG and very COURAGEOUS, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest."

Joshua has a HUGE task ahead of him; take back their Promised Land! God also promised Joshua that He would be with him always! God also reminded Joshua that "I swore to your forefathers" that I would give them the Promised Land. Now, Joshua just needs to be STRONG and COURAGEOUS!

STRONG and COURAGEOUS are emphasized again in today's verse. Along with the emphatic urging "observe the laws of Moses." (Which are God's laws.) God coached Joshua to walk the straight and narrow path. It's his calling. It's God's plan for his life.

Acts 2:7&8 "7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?" The Holy Ghost is the only way this happens. They were very surprised to be hundreds and, some cases, thousands of miles from "home" and hearing their language spoken! It was astonishing!
