Exodus 13:22
"He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people."

We are in Exodus 13, which records the events of Moses leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to the land of milk and honey. God is going to take them THROUGH the challenges of the WILDERNESS. God is going with them! God's presence was always visible and with the people, "cloud by day," and "the pillar of fire by night." 24/7. 365.

Moses gets a lot of credit for the events of his life. He lived an incredible life with many amazing accomplishments. But, what did Moses do? His name appears 803 times in the Scriptures. But, everything he "did" was really GOD'S doing. It is always the Lord that is leading the way. It is always GOD making things happen.

God will always provide. Like He did for the Israelites, manna from heaven and water from rocks and so much more! Moses was just a prefigure of Jesus, our real Savior. Servants, like Moses, will come and go over time. Jesus is always here. God is faithful, He has it all planned out. God is with us too. We don't see the clouds or the fire, but He is always here! Amen!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
