Exodus 3:5&6
"5 And He said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6 Moreover He said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God."

Moses is NOT celebrating!
Moses saw the flames but saw no source of fire. Moses heard the voice but saw no lips speaking. Moses saw no person but sensed a being in the flames. Who else could this be but GOD? And he was being called by name. Moses is terrified! The voice confirms he is on Holy Ground and that this is the GOD of his forefathers! Moses hides his face. By all accounts, being in the presence of a Holy God is the scariest experience you can have...

Acts 2:7&8 "7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?" The Holy Ghost is the only way this happens. They were very surprised to be hundreds and, some cases, thousands of miles from "home" and hearing their language spoken! It was astonishing! Appreciate that these devout Jewish people whose families had been carried away from Israel generations before. Taken in captivity by armies that invaded and conquered Israel. (A little like Joseph was taken captive to Egypt. All by God's plan to save the Israelites during a time of famine.)
