Exodus 3:1&2
"1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."
We are in the church season of Epiphany. A time to remember and celebrate the signs and events that confirm the presence of GOD. We started with the wise men visiting the baby Jesus. Then the baptism of Jesus, where GOD says "This is My Son in whom I am well pleased." This last week we studied the Transfiguration! Where GOD says "This is My Son in whom I am well pleased." We also saw Moses show up emphasizing Jesus's connection to the gift of the Law! It's very dramatic situation that we are very comfortable putting on the back burner of our mind.
However, we will think about it a little more as we study the event when Moses meets Jesus for the first time! "And The ANGEL of The LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."
