John 6:6-8
"6 And this He said to prove him: for He Himself knew what He would do.
7 Philip answered Him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto Him,"
We are studying the only miracle to be reported in all FOUR Gospels! A great multitude followed Jesus because He was miraculously healing people. It's GREAT to draw a crowd! It's exciting! Thrilling! And, what's going to happen when they get hungry? Who's responsible for the logistics? Who will be blamed if things go wrong?
Jesus asked the question that Philip answers in today's verses. Basically saying, "We have NO WAY to feed all these people." I kind of think some of the Disciples might be panicking inside. Some could be fearing the very worst. Some are trying to come up with ideas, like Andrew. Like many of us wanting to do His part to help God. Like a child helping his parents, it's with the best of intentions...
