restore in me

John 14:25
"These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you."

We are studying PEACE. Peace is a gift from God. It comes to us through Jesus as He restored our relationship with God. The prophet Isaiah wrote approximately 600 years before Jesus was born! Naming Jesus "The Prince of PEACE." God needed to send His Son as our Savior because people can't keep one commandment! We choose to eat the forbidden fruit. We break our relationship with God. We struggle with having an authentic relationship with God. We have too much FEAR in our hearts and minds to be comfortable with our perfect GOD. Fear is the opposite of PEACE. We need a Prince of PEACE to restore our relationship with GOD.

When the Prince of PEACE was bodily present with His Disciples, He taught them many things. "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you." Jesus explained things to them and they wrote them down so future generations could know and believe! It is the Gospel. We want to hear it and understand it.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
