fugitive

Genesis 4:14&15
"14 Behold, Thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from Thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him."

Abel's murder was shocking!
It is the first murder. It is VERY, very bad. And, as bad as it was; know the GREAT crime, the crime of crimes was his disobedience to the divine will of GOD. This is the SIN that caused all his other SINS. 

As we talked about yesterday; WE are all LIKE Cain.
GOD has cautioned us not to SIN. And, we have more information than Cain did. We have the Ten Commandments and the Holy Bible. We know SIN will tempt us and prey upon us. We know that we are bound to our SIN like a marriage. And, LIKE Cain, we insist on doing things our own way. It's this quality in all of that causes every social wrong in our world today. Our problems all begin with our disregard of the authority of the Most High GOD. Making each of us a "fugitive and a vagabond" needing help.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
