John 20:10&11
"10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,"
Mary Magdalene was one of Jesus's followers. She was healed by Him, she knew His Grace and Mercy. She was there when He was crucified. She helped in any way she could.
She held a fearless loyalty to our Lord and Savior. We see that characterized in today's verse from the Gospel of John; "Then the disciples WENT AWAY again unto their own home. But Mary STOOD without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,"
Mary had reported to Peter and John that she found the tomb empty! They came and inspected it. Indeed finding it empty too. It was wise for them to not stick around, if Jewish leaders or Roman soldiers found them there they would be taken in for questioning. Mary is anxious to find Jesus's body. She is in agony with grief. Her mind is foggy. The pain and loss she is feeling is great. And, now on top of that His body has disappeared?
