John 4:28-30
"28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto Him."
"I Am the Messiah." Jesus told this Samaritan woman. He adds GOD wants worship "in SPIRIT and in TRUTH." GOD doesn't care if you worship on this mountain or the other mountain. God cares that you worship Him in your heart of hearts. And, this unlikely woman, having had her share of sin, as we all are full of sin, she is called to BELIEVE, to have FAITH, and to be SAVED!
She becomes an evangelist immediately, today's verses; "The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, COME, SEE a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the CHRIST? Then they went out of the city, and came unto Him." We imagine the excitement of this woman telling everyone she meets about the Messiah she just met. How powerful her message had to be to overcome any doubts that had about her as a person. What did she say that convinced them to leave their midday business and come out to the well to meet the Christ. It's a miracle when we think about how self centered people can be. Jesus breaks through all that and gives us the waters of eternal life. Come and drink deeply.
