Genesis 3:7&8
"7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden."

In the beginning GOD created everything and Adam and Eve. And, everything was perfect until the serpent enters with his great skill in concealing his EVIL purposes. He raised doubt about what GOD really said. Encouraged Eve and Adam look at the forbidden fruit differently. With a little tease, the promise is made of something more than what they already had. Something better that they felt was withheld from them. Eve and Adam convinced themselves that eating the forbidden fruit was the thing they wanted to do. 

We all are like this first couple, seeing what appears inviting to our eyes and our mind. We believe there is something for us to gain and WE BITE! And, then the truth is revealed and we want to hide! Today's verses; "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife HID THEMSELVES from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden." To this day people that go against GOD'S will for their lives HIDE THEMSELVES from GOD. The depth of truth in these verses is astonishing!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
