THREEFOLD

Ecclesiastes 4:11&12
"11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

Looking for more great advice from GOD we have turned back to the Old Testament. The book of Ecclesiastes where we read; "Two are BETTER than one; because they have a good reward for their labour." It's true words and wise thinking. On the surface that seems to be all there is. Today's verses continue; "Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a THREEFOLD cord is not quickly broken." WAIT? We were talking about two. Where did three come from? 

In relationships, marriage relationships especially, there needs to be three in the relationship. The wife, the husband and GOD. It takes three. And, in reality all our relationships need to include GOD. This is essentially important because our God loves. One cannot love if they are alone. If God was not a Holy Trinity He could not love. Because God is the Holy Trinity there has always been love between Them! 

The Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Trinity is the THREEFOLD cord that will NEVER break! The Apostles creed tells us about the Holy Ghost. Calls us, gathers us and gives us faith in Jesus. He gives us courage and inspires us to greatness. We must strive to do everything we can to honor and praise our GOD!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
