Psalms 8:6-9
"6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!"

The book of Psalms is filled with faithful and encouraging words about people's Experience of God. Also, sublime and AWE inspiring discriptions of creation teaching us that GOD'S knowledge has no boundaries! Also in the Psalms we learn more about Jesus; He was there at the beginning, the Alpha, and "the Word" that binds it all together. 

And, yesterday the Psalms raised the question; "WHO ARE WE, that GOD should care about us?" We are sinful and our minds polluted and perverted. We are insignificant and our lives are quickly over having never amounted to much. Why has GOD done so much for us? Why has He given us such beauty and comfort in His creation? Why did He give His only Son to die for OUR sins?

While GOD gives us litrally everything, He also expects some things from us too! Today's verses; "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas." GOD has given us STEWARDSHIP over His creation! We have the responsibility to take care of and improve the areas and things we are given. And, we are to praise and glorify GOD; "O LORD our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth!"

Luke 1:51-53 "51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away." This is Mary's Magnificat. Beginning with verse forty-six Mary's responds to Elizabeth’s blessing is EPIC! In this poem Mary praises GOD for His blessing to her and His faithfulness to Israel.  Mary's Magnificat also highlights a series of reversals in which the proud are humbled and the humble are exalted!
