learn of Me

Matthew 11:28&29
"28 Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

JESUS'S words are recorded for us in the pages of Holy Scripture! This is a blessing beyond our appreciation; we can't quantify it, at best we can receive it, read it and say, "Praise the LORD!" The prophets spoke GOD'S words to people waiting for the Messiah. The Disciples participated in the works of our Lord and Savior. Still, it was GOD who made everything possible! Today we understand that we DON'T need a sign or a wonder, we have Jesus! We have everything in Jesus! 

Today's verses from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter eleven, verse twenty-eight and twenty-nine; "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and LEARN OF ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

When the going is tough we find ourselves in constant prayer. We desperately seek God's help and even His rescue from the perils we experience. If we feel oppression we go to GOD for relief. But, what about the good times? When we are happy and everything is going our way, do we pray to GOD? When things are going good do we put GOD on the back burner?

Acts 2:7&8 "7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?" The Holy Ghost is the only way this happens. They were very surprised to be hundreds and, some cases, thousands of miles from "home" and hearing their language spoken! It was astonishing! Appreciate that these devout Jewish people whose families had been carried away from Israel generations before. Taken in captivity by armies that invaded and conquered Israel.
