Romans 6:4
"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
This week we have studied the "SPECIAL REVELATION" in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter three, where we witnessed the Holy Trinity in the same place at the same time. Father, Son and Holy Ghost! Jesus's Baptism shows He is obeying GOD'S will. Our Baptism demonstrates us obeying GOD'S will and it forever links us to His plan.
In today's verse we read an explanation of just what Baptism means to each of us; "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
Because of our baptism we are dead to sin, the same way Christ was dead to the living world around Him when He was buried. Just as He was raised again to life, we are also rised to a new life free from the sin and wrong that is in our past. We are given a NEW LIFE in our FAITH in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
