my plan

Acts 2:46&47
"46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."

From "In the beginning..." to the end of time; its ALL GOD'S PLAN. Our redemption was baked in to the recipe. It's a little surprising that our world rejects the Son of God. The Holy Scriptures describes it as darkness rejecting the Light. As we read in the Psalms yesterday; all the labors that people undertake, GOD'S Divine blessing will cause our SUCCESS. It's GOD'S providence that is protecting us, without GOD we will fail.

We like to plan things and build things. Both at home and in the community. It's good to have plans. We might even think of it as "MY PLAN." But, in reality it's the Lord that is in charge. For today's verses we turn the the book of Acts, chapter two, verses forty-six and forty-seven; "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And THE LORD added to the church daily such as should be saved."

"The Lord" added to their numbers. They were doing work to grow the church but it was by GOD'S plan. God will bless the work we do. God wants you along to help, but it is ALL GOD'S work. We need to serve one another. Humble yourself and do what others need you to do. Ask yourself; How am I gonna serve? Don't be afraid to do what you think is beneath you. If we will serve others; God will build the church. God allows us to participate in His plan!

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. We also want to remember our own Covenant with GOD and how the waters of Baptism washed us clean and gives us the promise of eternal life. This week we will study another Covenant from GOD; The Covenant of Holy Communion. Instituted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
