Exodus 3:7&8
"7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites."

We have returned one of the most famous "God Sightings" of all; Moses at the burning bush! God called to Moses from the burning bush by name. Moses stands on Holy Ground. Moses was afraid to look upon God, even though this was only a representation of GOD; fire. This is the GOD of the living come to set His people FREE! This is the GOD of our ancestors, who honors His covenant and blesses His creation and saves His people!

In today's verses GOD says; "I have surely seen the AFFLICTION of My people... I know their sorrows;" Belive it or not; I am going to FREE them from their bandage in slavery and GIVE them a "land FLOWING with milk and honey;" GOD is saying His chosen people are going to go from people burdened and oppressed with hard labor to people that are blessed with abundance that they don't even need to work for!!! It's a miraculous transformation! A promise that is hard to believe. Maybe impossible to believe for some...

Elisha’s example

1 Kings 19:19-21 "19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. 20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
