Matthew 24:39&40
"39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

Someday Jesus will RETURN. 
When will He return? We GOT to KNOW!
But, NO ONE knows. Only GOD the Father Knows.
Jesus's return will be similar to the Great Flood, it was sudden and unexpected. People were not prepared for it even though they were warned about it. The only ones saved were the few in the ark.

In Noah's day and time; people were NOT concerned about the affairs of religion, the worship and glory of God, the welfare of their souls and their approaching doom! Which Noah had given them ampel warning. 

In today's verses we read an example of what will happen when Jesus returns; "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be TAKEN, and the other left."
As believers we should not set our sights on concerns of the world. As we read in today's verses that our Lord and Savior will suddenly appear to the world. We will be at work and will stop working as we recognize our LORD Is present. This will be the day of judgment to the whole world!

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
